This is an exciting opportunity in Indianapolis, Indiana for our Hospitality Group for a Front of House Manager.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

The Front of House Manager is responsible for executing all food and beverage services. This position will encourage and uphold service standards to the customer. In addition, this position will lead and manage all FOH Staff to execute all day to day functions within this sub-department. The FOH Manager will work with peers, subordinates and management to improve services in accordance with standards set by the Cummins Hospitality Manager. The FOH Manager must maintain a clean and organized work space and physical appearance.

  • Sustain a working knowledge of all upcoming services

  • Uphold all services standards

  • Maintain beverage program for location

  • Maintain and report on wine inventory

  • Contribute to wine program and alcohol program

  • Have a working knowledge off alcoholic beverage policy and program

  • Manage purchasing of Alcoholic beverages for department location

  • Maintain a clean working environment, both guest facing and non-guest facing

  • Maintain the proper inventory of all tools needed for services

  • Lead by example

  • Ensure tracking of food waste management system

  • Foster quality and professional relationships with all preferred vendors

  • Maintain continued education program

  • Organize and execute FOH meetings

  • Is responsible for meeting budget requirements for FOH labor expense

  • Lead recruitment of FOH contingent employees; advise on interview and hire

  • Lead staff through set up, execution, and cleanup of services

  • Hold staff accountable for maintaining department’s standards of service

  • Exercise judgment independently in all activities with hosts and service patrons

  • Ensure congruence with Cummins’ policies, public safety codes and each event space used

  • Report on status and goals of sub-department at weekly and monthly meetings

  • Collaborate monthly with other FOH leaders in the community

  • Adheres to the Aesthetic Principles

  • Check in on current services

  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools

  • Customize experiences to fit unique customers’ needs

  • Deliver basic understanding of Cummins global history, business and values

  • Have a working and practical knowledge of the cuisine of foreign cultures

  • Have a working and practical knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients

  • Have knowledge and ability to perform all front of house tasks including but not limited to: bartending, wine service, dining room management, serving, busing, room set-up and tear-down, meeting room services

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate commensurate with experience. This position will need 5 years of experience in the food, beverage, and hospitality service industry. Must be Serv Safe certified in the state of Indiana.

This position will be based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside. Employee may be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events. Employee is required to lift 30lbs.
