We are looking for a Financial Controller for Australia & Asia Pacific to join our Melbourne team!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leads the APAC finance team comprised of 10 team members spread across South Pacific, SE Asia, Korea, and Japan. Diverse role includes controlling of commercial sales, manufacturing, and distribution activities.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis in the APAC region, working closely with business leaders to develop realistic and achievable financial plans. Monitor performances against budget, providing variance analysis to identify areas of improvement

  • Ensures that general accounting practices and internal controls are being followed; supports the conduction of internal and external audits

  • Member of APAC Leadership Team – responsible for partnering with regional business leaders to provide financial insights and drive profitability improvements.

  • Collaborates in the decision-making process for new business and investments; develop Monthly Business Review materials, flash, and dashboards.

  • Requires strong financial analysis across all disciplines – including variance analysis, forecasting, contract agreements, manufacturing KPI’s, working capital optimisation.

  • Analyze product costs, manufacturing overheads, and operational expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Ensures regional finance delivery on new systems implementations and key business integrations.

  • Coach and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to enhance skills and professional growth.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Managerial and budgetary experience in a small operations manufacturing or distribution center environment.

  • Financial Regulations Acumen - Evaluates applicable regulations for the financial area of focus, such as tax, banking, pension, local accounting to ensure underlying transactions are recorded in compliance with applicable regulations; explains key requirements and purpose of regulations and implications to the business to inform and educate relevant stakeholders.

  • Business Partnering - Collaborates with stakeholders and develops partnerships to drive performance that aligns to organizational goals and strategies; influences the organization by demonstrating knowledge of the business to provide guidance to support the decision making process and guiding the business towards positive results and organizational alignment; evaluates business environment using measures to mitigate risk and capitalize on opportunities.

  • Financial Planning and Forecasting - Utilizes financial forecast data to provide forward looking projections to facilitate decision making; partners with stakeholders to analyze trends and validate assumptions to provide a forecast that aligns to the organization's goals and strategies.

  • Financial Analysis - Interprets financial data by analyzing trends, variances, opportunities and risks to provide insight to stakeholders regarding financial impact to drive business improvement; evaluates financial results against targets to communicate conclusions to all stakeholders; ensures integrity of financial data by investigating variances and determining corrective actions to resolve identified issues.
