This is an exciting opportunity in Memphis, TN for an IT Site Leader – Memphis Distribution Center. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Responsible for the management, operations, delivery and support of defined IT applications and/or infrastructure services; directs and coordinates the efforts of people to accomplish goals and objectives using available resources; plans, organizes, staffs, leads, and controls an organization to accomplish the goals; encompasses the deployment, administration, and development of human, financial, and technical resources.
Responsible for how a specific IT service is delivered and supported.
Participates in the Operating budget process. Helps determine service delivery charges and determines forecast of needs.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of services and ensures that tools and resources are capable and available (i.e. IT Service Catalog, Asset Management system).
Generates and reports service delivery metrics and drives standards across regions and locations (i.e. Scorecards, Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and Customer Satisfaction or Net Promoter Scoring).
Supports the Service as a key customer contact for service-related inquiries and issues. Maintains relationships with key customers and suppliers. Facilitates meetings with technical teams, IT, and business partners.
Is familiar with Operational Level Agreements between other IT Service owners. Interacts with the appropriate IT process owners throughout the Service Management lifecycle.
Encourages root cause analysis using the formal problem solving approach for recurring issues.
Champions the use of Six Sigma to reduce costs and improve processes.
Identifies opportunities for service improvements, discuss with the customer and raise the request for change for assessment if appropriate.
Maintains the accuracy of service related standards, procedures and work instructions in a knowledge management system.
Is able to function as a Service Owner when delegated.
Works with the IT Service owner, business unit customers, regional IT leaders, other service owners, IT architecture and outside suppliers to ensure the delivered services meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Problem Management - Controls the life cycle of all problems using the required processes and tools to proactively prevent recurrence of incidents to minimize adverse impact on the organization.
Service Asset and Configuration Management - Manages service assets and configuration items by maintaining accurate configuration records to support other service management processes with documented and verifiable information.
Request Fulfillment - Manages a service request through its life cycle with efficiency and professionalism using the required processes and tools to maintain customer satisfaction.
Vendor Management - Manages strategic vendor relationships throughout the business need and contract life cycle using the required processes and tools to control costs, drive service excellence and mitigate risks to gain increased value from the vendors.
Service Catalog Management - Maintains a service catalog that contains all details of active and approved services in service operations using the required processes and tools to provide clear and relevant information to users.
Service Level Management - Ensures the quality of the services delivered meet agreed levels using the required processes and tools in order to maintain customer satisfaction.
Financial acumen - Interpreting and applying understanding of key financial indicators to make better business decisions.
Problem Solving - Solves problems using a systematic analysis process by leveraging industry standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.
Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.
Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.
Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business
or a related subject required
5 -7 years significant relevant experience required.
Primary objective is to ensure systems availability and performance to ensure sustained continuity of over $3 B in annual gross sales operations, leads a team of supplier resources, responsibility on IT operations for major sites Memphis Distribution Center & Dallas RDC.
IT Site Leader is responsible for maintaining and improving the organization's IT systems technology and supporting IT infrastructure.
The IT Site Leader is charged with providing daily oversight, direction, and priority guidance to systems application support personnel for business operation’s support.
The IT Site Leader will coordinate with Project Team for releases, software patches, and emergency change requests via organizational processes, systems and tools.
The IT Site Leader coordinates the cross-functional IT efforts, together with all IT support partners such as CBS-IT and IT Common Services, needed to support continuous improvement of systems performance and outage recovery.
The IT Site Leader champions the use of Cummins improvement tools for root cause analysis and resolution of recurring issues, as well for continuously improve application performance and use of IT support resources.
IT Domain knowledge through experience in Supply Chain and Manufacturing
Hands on experience (Functional/Technical) on any Order Management, Warehouse Management/Transportation Systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL) & integration.
Drive a proactive vs reactive approach concerning support processes.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
