This is an exciting opportunity in Milton Keynes for a Principal Scientist.
Cummins Electrified Power are a leading provider of flexible battery solutions for demanding automotive and power applications .
Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:
By using your detailed knowledge and understanding of electrochemical properties and materials chemistry of Li-ion energy storage cell technology to provide support for Customer, R&D and new product introduction projects.
By providing leadership and mentorship to a team of scientists and technicians.
By leading and managing R&D projects in order to deliver against agreed budget, time and scope parameters.
By performing in-house research, testing and analysis, writing technical reports and participating in review meetings
Skills and Experience Required:
Substantial work or research into the field of electro-chemistry
Ideally you will have significant experience with li-ion batteries.
You will have an strong knowledge and understanding of electrochemical properties and materials chemistry, idea from both a commercial and research based Li-ion energy storage cell technology background
Prior experience in a leadership or management role, leading projects as well as providing guidance to less experienced members of the team
The ability to work collaboratively, and communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Required Education, Licenses or Certifications
- PhD, Masters of Science, Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in engineering, chemistry or physical sciences required.
Compensation and Benefits
In return we can offer a salary between £46,320 - £63,690 (dependent on experience).
