We are looking for a talented Custodian, specializing in Facility Maintenance, to join our Maintenance and Facilities Team in Mineral Point, WI.

In this role, you will an impact in the following ways:

  • Performs routine building maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

  • Assists in various maintenance activities; addresses immediate operational and/or safety concerns; and ensures that tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained in good working order.

  • Maintains safe work habits and actions in all aspects of the daily task; evaluates reactive work for safety issues, plans projects so that safety is key, and reviews preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety hurdles.

  • Utilizes software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work and building management systems.

  • Orders supplies from various vendors and assists in managing spare parts inventories.

  • Performs work in various conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

  • Maintains housekeeping and safety in work areas; Upkeep on the exterior yard, including pit and sump cleaning/repair.

  • Conducts minor repairs including plumbing in restrooms along with dock drain; floor repair & spill pickup, including carpet and floor tile; Ceiling and light fixture installation; Wall repair including drywall installation, patching, wall hanging, and painting.

  • Operates and maintains vehicle equipment such as fork trucks, golf carts, etc.Uses powered hand tools drills, grinders, porta-band, etc.) based on job needs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, a plus

  • Previous experience in a commercial or public setting, preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the lunchroom and equipment.

  • Inventory, order, and storage of janitorial supplies.

  • Clean and upkeep plant restrooms, offices, and all areas

  • Clean and upkeep of locker room and display areas

  • Maintain and upkeep plant floors, recyclables, and trash.

  • Operation of powered scrubber and sweeper

  • Maintain and upkeep of facility grounds.

  • Winter duties - snow shoveling, salting, etc.

  • General cleaning, painting, misc. equipment maintenance

  • Perform other duties as directed by Team Lead & Facilities Manager

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
