Electrolyser Stack Technology Lead
We are looking for a talented Electrolyser Stack Technology Lead to join our team specializing in hydrogen fuel cell power systems technology for our # NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
Responsible for the Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyser stack development program.
Responsible for the design and validation of the next generation of electrolyser stack.
Analyse the technical functional requirements and transalate into a development plan for project delivery.
Oversee product development of the electrolyser stack using a phase-gate approach.
Interface closely with a team of research scientist, engineers, designers and technicians.
Participates in the design, improvement, outsourcing, selection, evaluation and testing of PEM Electroyser stack and their subcomponents.
Work with modelling group to generate and review FEA and CFD results.
Collaborates with suppliers of stack components, including CCM, GDM, BPP, gaskets and compression hardware.
Processes and reviews test data, generate test reports, and presents test result internally and externally.
Provides technical support to sub-system and system testing.
Coordinate stack product development and performance goals with commercial road map.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Materials Science.
Proven experience of product development and project management in a rigorous and detail-oriented environment.
Experience in product design, prototyping, validation, or industrial research and development.
Experience in precision manufacturing techniques (milling, stamping, forming etc...)
Knowledge of design and modelling software (Solid Edge, ANSYS, etc...)
Fluency with MS Project or other project management tools.
Understanding of fluid thermodynamics, heat transfer, two phase flow and corrosion science.
Experience in electrochemical systems and fundamentals is considered an asset.
