This is an exciting opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee for a Payroll Tax Analyst. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Responsible for projects related to the application of tax laws and to preparation of a variety of tax returns.

  • Maintains complete and accurate tax records.

  • Executes basic projects related to the application of tax law.

  • Prepares basic tax returns.

  • Analyzes and summarizes tax information.

  • Prepares reports and provides recommendations.

  • Assists with data gathering for tax audits.

  • Prepares tax reconciliations.

Experience Required:

  • 3 years of experience in Payroll/Accounting

  • Minimal relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.

  • Analyze Employee/Employer Federal, State, Local and other jurisdictional Tax Compliance proficiently utilizing Excel

  • Knowledge and experience completing State Certified Payrolls and Prevailing Wages

  • Experience ensuring State Unemployment Insurance Rate Compliance

  • Audit W4/State Tax Issues

  • Responsible for setting up and closing Tax Jurisdictions

  • Experience creating Ad Hoc Reports for internal and external customers timely

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting.

  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary rate commensurate with experience.
