In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:  

 

 Description

 

·       Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

 

·       Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke and visual standards.

 

·       Performs quality inspections

 

·       Maintaining a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.

 

·       Participates actively in the identification of ways in which to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development

 

·       Applies Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology throughout the plant

Education, Licenses, Certifications

 

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

 

 

 

Experience

 

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.  

 

 

 

This position is a turbo disassembly, where used units are completely torn down and the components are salvaged. This job requires someone who enjoys working with their hands. Familiar with hand and power tools such as: hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, air guns, and small presses.  We are looking for someone who is reliable, dependable, adaptable, able to take direction, a team player, works well in a group of 8 to 12 people, able to maintain a high level of accuracy, perform repetitive tasks while standing 90 percent of an 8-hour shift, willing to be cross trained to work in different functions when needed. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 35 lbs. regularly as well as follow safety rules and policies.

       
 

 

 

Compensation and Benefits 

 

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
