We have an exciting opportunity in North Las Vegas NV for a Class A CDL Driver to provide customer service by picking up and delivering trucks, buses and RVs from the customers’ sites to and from the branch. Additional responsibilities include Custodian / Maintenance of assigned branch with janitorial work.

Support the Cummins Sales and Service Philosophy, Values and Policies

  • Pickup and deliver customer trucks, buses and RVs using a towable vehicle for two way transport.

  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes.

  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.

  • Read and interpret maps in order to determine vehicle routes.

  • Demonstrate safe and defensive driving behavior at all times.

  • Report vehicle effects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

Maintenance of assigned branch with janitorial work and other duties as assigned:

  • Maintain floors. Sweep, mop, buff, strip and seal as needed

  • Empty trash daily as needed

  • Clean and stock restrooms with supplies

  • Maintain lighting

  • Maintain walls and windows as needed

  • Clean equipment as needed

  • Paint as needed

  • Maintain grounds

  • Maintain safe sidewalks and entrances

  • Pick up and delivery

Creates, maintains and promotes a safe clean workplace

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of floor maintenance

  • Ability to perform minor maintenance repairs

  • Ability to communicate and work well with other employees and customers. verbal and written communication

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

  • Training and experience driving commercial vehicles on local city roads.

  • Must have, and maintain a good driving record and CDL license and Passenger Bus Endorsement.

Forklift certification.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.

  • A self-motivated team player with the ability to work and communicate well with customers and co-workers.

  • The desire to provide top quality customer service.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.

Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Protective Glasses and Protective Footwear as required.

Candidate must meet all eligibility requirements to drive a Company vehicle, including but not limited to:

Must have a current, valid driver's license issued by the state in which they reside.

Must have current motor vehicle liability insurance.

Must abide by all local, state and federal rules and regulations.

No convictions for any driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs charges (DUI) within prior 5 years.

No greater than three (3) moving violations within prior 12 month period.

No greater than 2 avoidable accidents on MVR within prior 3 years.

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience.
