Europe Sales Lead - Electrolyzers


Cummins are looking for a talented Sales leader to manage the sales team for our Hydrogen Electrolyzer Business across Europe . The postholder will coach, lead and mentor sales managers, in pursuing revenue opportunities for our Electrolyzer business.

To make a difference in this role, you will:

  • Report to the Sales & Business Development Director (EMEA) and lead a sales organization and responsible for sales activity and operations for our Hydrogen Electrolyzer Business unit.

  • Consistently deliver profitable growth by working with and through the entire sales force to provide customers with valued Cummins solutions.

  • Set and achieve sales goals associated with revenue and profit targets. Drives sales by planning, controlling, and directing activities of the sales force.

  • Set/Implement the strategic approach to identify and pursue growth opportunities. Hold direct and dotted line teams accountable for execution.

  • Coach, develops, and motivate sales staff. For direct reports, set goals for their training and development, performance, and career planning. Monitors, coaches and manages performance on a regular basis.

  • Provide accurate reporting and forecasting of sales demand to the entity leadership team and to regional and/or global sales leadership, for example through Strategic Business Reviews, using Cummins tools and processes (e.g., Cummins Sales Process, CRM systems).

  • Build and maintain outstanding relationships with key customer and business leaders by maintaining quarterly face-to-face contact with key customer management.

  • Develops and manages sales (revenue and prime margin metrics at a minimum), financial controls, and risk, ensuring operations are executed efficiently and within established budgets.

  • Represent emerging customer needs, preferences, and market trends to New Product Development.

  • Assure good communication and coordination across the sales function to attain goals of the sales strategy and culture, management of customers, sales talent management and sales operations.

  • Continually evaluate sales force effectiveness and provide input to strategies for improvement, e.g., recruiting/hiring, training, and/or territory and resource reallocation.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Relevant university level academics in a relevant discipline or qualified by experience

  • Strong experience in selling into industrial projects, working with multiple stakeholders internally and externally

  • Ability to lead, coach and mentor junior employees

  • Experience in a related industry preferred (Oil and gas, chemicals, renewables etc)

  • Experience or understanding of one of the following environments (oil & gas, EPC, process, chemicals, renewables, industrial gases)
