Mechanical Pipe Fitter
Description
As a Senior Mechanical Fitter, you perform mechanical assembly and pressure tests on all types of installations. You actively participate in initiatives around housekeeping and general improvement projects.
You’re responsible for 1 or more work centers when it comes to safety, following instructions, quality.
Your tasks:
Mechanic assembly of installations: Cleaning components, work grease-free, apply O2, Assemble sub-assemblies & standard panels.
Filling vessels with catalyst fluid and installing molecular sieves.
Assembling standard installations, assembling non-standard installations, assembling cell stacks, tightening standard cell stacks, pressure testing Cell stacks .
Pointwelding – bonding.
Perform mechanical tag & lockout procedure.
Decision making power LMRA in regards to mechanical tasks
Pressure testing fully assembled installations: Performing pressure test on standard installations according to instructions, performing pressure test on non-standard installations, resolving issues that arise during pressure tests.
Supporting the overall production process.
Filling and draining of installations with Potassium Hydroxide.
Pickling and and passivation.
Performing mechanical gate audit on installations
Preparing installations for onsite testing or FAT, preparing installations for shipping
Qualifications
Your profile:
Education: Higher Secondary Education: mechanic or equivalent through experience
Pipefitting and flange mounting
Experience in Usage of Swagelok - Hamlet fittings, usage screw thread fittings, NPT/BSP, O-ring seals.
Used to work with RVS tubing, piping, wall thickness, ... importance of traceability. Familiar with corrosion risks.
You can work with pressure, using the appropriate tools. Work with carbon steel tubing, piping, wall thickness, with plastic tubing fittings, with copper piping, tags and labels.
You can read P&ID's (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram and have experience in Performing Penetrant testing, traceability compliant with PED/ASME, tag & lock out procedure
You have conversational skills in Dutch and very good English knowledge both verbally and written.
You are able to work in 2 shifts on site in Oevel.
