Product Safety Customer Solution Engineer
Description
As a Product Safety Customer Solution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our products for our valued customers. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to communicate product safety features, answer technical questions, and provide process safety information to clients. Your expertise in risk-based process safety, hazard analysis, and functional safety will be essential in driving our commitment to safety excellence.
Your tasks:
Support CSE/COE projects and deliveries.
Communicate product safety features in detailed engineering terms to clients.
Answer detailed technical functional safety questions from clients.
Generate and provide process safety information to clients.
Lead or participate in PHA (HAZOP/LOPA) and interface HAZOP with clients.
Ensure recommendations for customer HAZOP are communicated and closed with platform teams.
Ensure product safety processes are used in the integration and customization of products.
Generate reports and customize manuals as necessary to support unique applications.
Lead incident reviews and product safety hazard analysis when warranted.
Qualifications
Your profile:
Degree in a relevant engineering field.
Certification of Competency in IEC 61511 Functional Safety (required)
Prior experience in a customer-facing role. Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with clients at all levels.
Knowledge of risk-based process safety, process hazard analysis (HAZOP/LOPA), functional safety, machine safety, and ATEX/explosion prevention/protection
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings and job site visits.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
