Description

Hydrogenics, part of the Cummins Group, is an industry-leading developer of renewable hydrogen technology, and we are currently looking to hire a Regional HR Manager to join us in our Oevel location, overseeing leading this site as well as a site in Gladbeck, Germany.

This is a once in a lifetime career opportunity to lead through a significant transformation period and exponential growth as we integrate Hydrogenics into the Cummins group, post-acquisition. You will be an influential member of the leadership team, building strategic relationships to link organizational strategy with HR best practices for both short and long-term business needs.

This is an exciting time for the business, as we also prepare for the build of a brand new production facility in our Gladbeck site by summer 2021, which you will also play a crucial part in.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the HR leader for our Oevel and Gladbeck (Germany) sites. Partner with business and HR functional leadership in the planning and implementation of HR initiatives and policies for the organization.

  • Ensure the smooth integration of Hydrogenics colleagues over to the Cummins business, including; the implementation of Cummins processes, migration to Cummins payroll, introducing Cummins Compensation and Benefits packages.

  • Own organizational change initiatives for both sites. Gain buy-in from local leadership teams and collaborate to create a positive environment for all employees during a period of ambiguity.

  • Collaborate with business leaders to translate current and future business goals and develops initiatives and tactics to meet business objectives in alignment with overall HR strategies and processes.

  • Resolve conflicts and provide coaching and counseling on HR matters for functional or organizational leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with essential government legislative requirements and adherence to HR policies and procedures. Continue to develop your own knowledge and understanding of relevant labour laws in Belgium and Germany.

  • Coach and mentor the Senior HR Generalist. Identify opportunities to develop skills and provide a clear career development path.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience within HR at a strategic level. You are knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines, including; employee engagement and retention, organizational development, employee relations, and local employment laws.

  • The natural ability to instill trust with people at various levels. You are renowned for developing strong working relationships across your organization.

  • Cross-functional communication is second nature to you in solving problems and addressing roadblocks.

  • You excel at collaborating with business leaders to create their people plan, solve problems, coach, and influence change

  • You are an advocate for change, institutionalizing a positive culture while ensuring a smooth transition during a time of organizational transformation.

  • English and Dutch language skills are essential. German language skills would be beneficial.

  • Willingness to have an onsite presence at our Gladbeck site at least twice a month.
