Senior Technical Training Developer
Evaluates training needs and effectiveness for the business.
Designs, develops and delivers self study and hands on service training programs for internal employees, customers and distributor trainers using standardized tools and processes including needs assessment, job task analysis, competency gap analysis, and assessment tools.
Responsible for planning the deployment of the training infrastructure to support new product introduction with consideration of the business case for training.
Leads, communicates and facilitates the training needs of global trainers for the products.
Designs and develops both basic as advanced skill and knowledge training sessions.
Reviews training developed by other developers to ensure that product training meets the highest standards and supports the business? core values.
Works with external resources for tools development, translations, project development and project management.
Serves as a mentor to new department team members; part of training program review teams to ensure quality and effectiveness of training.
Qualifications - Skills
Technical Writing - Writes technical instructions so target audience can understand and apply; organizes product information and converts into appropriate content and format for the given publication and target audience; summarizes complex systems as well as break down into individual components and diagnostics to create service information using established processes and tools.
Decision quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward in terms of training needs.
Strategic mindset - Seeing ahead to future training needs and translating them into effective trainings.
Instructional Design and Effectiveness - Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates instructional content using Cummins methodologies and technologies to maximize learning and meet organizational needs.
evaluates success indicators by using appropriate collection methods and analyzing the results to validate content effectiveness as compared to the learning objectives.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- College, university, or equivalent technical degree
Proven track record experience in training development is an absolute must.
Background in Hydrogen products is preferred.
Abilityto collaborate cross functionally with different functions to gather, developand structure the training content.
