DESCRIPTION

Assists Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; maintains and supports documentation and records. Works under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute CMM programs using ZEISS Calypso software for dimensional inspection.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T, to perform accurate inspections.

  • Conduct first principal measurements and surface finish/profile inspections.

  • Perform statistical process capability studies and apply quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, PPAP).

  • Assist in product and component testing using a variety of measurement equipment.

  • Record and analyze inspection results, prepare technical reports, and support root cause analysis.

  • Maintain and calibrate measurement and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

  • Support measurement uncertainty studies and contribute to laboratory management practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers regarding inspection results and product specifications.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.High school diploma or equivalent (as per regulatory requirements).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in CMM programming and inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in ZEISS Calypso CMM programming and operating.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality standards.

  • Knowledge of surface finish and profile inspection techniques.

  • Experience with first principle measurement systems.

  • Competence in statistical process control and quality tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP).

  • Ability to conduct measurement uncertainty analysis.
