PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management and Documentation:

  • Engage proactively with suppliers to maintain accurate data and gather necessary documentation.

  • Facilitate supplier enablement within procurement systems and resolve invoice and payment issues.

  • Contract and Sourcing Event Support:

  • Support the completion, closure, and recording of various contracts and supplier documentation.

  • Prepare and manage documentation for sourcing events and maintain procurement policies compliance.

  • Performance and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in meeting cost, quality, delivery, and inventory goals.

  • Support supplier quality activities and improvements in collaboration with supplier quality engineers and category teams.

  • Liaison and Coordination:

  • Serve as a liaison between procurement teams and other organizational functions.

  • Participate in health, safety, and environmental awareness activities.

  • Project and Change Management:

  • Participate in project teams to implement changes effectively and manage project deliverables within agreed timelines.

  • Data Management and Reporting:

  • Utilize process tools and business systems to ensure data integrity and provide analytics and reporting.

  • Identify and implement improvements in procurement data and business processes.

  • Global Focus and Process Improvement:

  • Support a global focus on procurement activities and identify improvements in business processes.

  • Engage in the implementation of new procurement systems and tools.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

  • Strong written communication skills in English are preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

  • Experience:

  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement software (e.g., P360, SAP Ariba, Oracle Procurement Cloud).

  • Prior experience with supply chain systems and knowledge of Engineering Release (ER) management processes is advantageous.

  • Technical Proficiency:

  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools such as Windchill.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using tools like Power BI.

Skills:

  • Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical abilities to assess processes, identify changes, and drive improvements.

  • Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and management.

  • Technical and Process Proficiency:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.

  • Stakeholder Management:

  • Ability to identify, engage, and manage relationships with key stakeholders and maintain customer relationships.

  • Procurement Competencies:

  • Knowledge of procurement ethics, policies, procedures, and tools.

  • Ability to manage procurement systems, including data integrity, troubleshooting, and system implementation.

  • Change Management:

  • Understanding of change management principles, especially within the automotive industry.
