Senior Manager - Ethics & Compliance
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing key Area Business Organization (ABO) or regional ethics and compliance programs that support the Cummins Code of Business Conduct to reduce the ethical and reputational risks to Cummins while supporting the business.
Implements the corporate ethics and compliance strategy with a while also developing a fit-for-market regional compliance program, including policy development, anti-corruption initiatives, program evaluation and strategy for the ABO/region.
Works collaboratively with Internal Audit, Legal and other stakeholders to recommend and/or drive process improvements, including Cummins’ ability to detect and prevent compliance failures.
Develops and implements a face-to-face training program for employees and third parties to supplement the Cummins online compliance training program.
Develops communication tools to reinforce tone at the top and to inform employees and other relevant stakeholders about ethics and compliance initiatives and high risk areas of compliance.
Leads third party compliance initiatives in the ABO working closely with other key stakeholders the Legal function, distribution channel and the business units.
Supports internal investigations on bribery and other major compliance risks, supporting and providing direction for the in-house or outsourced investigators, analysing the result and recommending mitigating and monitoring measures.
Effectively manages complex projects across functions (e.g., Finance, Internal Controls, Audit, Human Resources, Legal), business units, countries and cultures.
Works with ABO legal function to monitor applicable laws, regulations and policies, analyzing data and trends to drive program focus and initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance - Champions compliance with environmental regulatory requirements imposed on industry by local, state, provincial, national, and international organizations including air emissions, waste water discharges, natural resource consumption, waste generation, spill prevention and reporting, and emergency response.
Compliance Program Management - Develops and documents compliance programs incorporating the five strategic elements of a world-class compliance program (tone at the top, risk assessment, training and communication, oversight, and reporting) to ensure that Cummins stays in compliance and reduce risks for Cummins and its shareholders.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant field
Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience, required.
Demonstrated program management experience.
This position will report directly to a corporate director ofEthics and Compliance and indirectly to the Legal Director, India. TheSenior Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategyfor Ethics and Compliance in India. This position will play a vital rolein the accomplishment of Cummins’ goals and mission by: Working with ourABO leadership in India to create and implement a fit-for-market compliancestrategy based on the Cummins’ ethics and compliance program, helping to ensurethat our entities and employees are maintaining compliance with laws,regulations and company policies. Promoting an ethicalculture throughout the region consistent with the values and principles statedin the Cummins Code of Business Conduct. Focusing on bribery, conflict of interest,risks posed by third parties who represent Cummins in the marketplace, and dataprivacy in close collaboration with Legal, thebusinesses and other corporate functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES &DUTIES: Implementingthe corporate ethics and compliance strategy while also developing afit-for-market regional compliance program, including policy development,anti-corruption initiatives, program evaluation and strategy for CumminsIndia. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Strongleadership and communication skills. Strong conflict management skills. Optimalresponsiveness and turn-around for emails, projects and other requests fromleadership. Ability to develop a fit-for-market compliance strategy andwork with corporate and regional leadership to ensure implementation. Strong attention to detail. Compliance,ethics, and anti-bribery and enterprise risk management experience in an international company desired. Ability to relate wellacross cultures with a wide variety of people in a professional and diplomaticmanner. Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree preferred, but not required; 6 to 8 years of professionalexperience in a relevant field (e.g., Ethics & Compliance, White Collar,Risk Management) preferred, but not required. Languages: English- fluent; Hindi - Proficient
