We run an exciting 12 monthplacement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on realprojects making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole. Youwill received on the job training and take part in a structured Training &Development Programme designed to give the skills and competencies required forfuture graduate roles.

The roleof PD&I Project Management Placement will be to:

  • Serve as a resource on projects and work assignments, employing a basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.

  • Assist with project planning and tracking, research and analytical support, providing input into the design and development of project plans and associated timelines.

  • Monitor and communicate project status to project teams and the wider business.

  • Identify, track and then work with others to resolve project issues.

  • Assist with the management of project risk, using standard tools to identify areas of risk.

  • Document and share team learning with other teams, draw on other experiences to enhance the success of the projects.

  • Maintain project notes, databases and other records, monitor and publish key performance measures.

  • Communicate to the Program Management Leader the status of specific projects and assignments.

  • Embrace the Company values and mission, representing and promoting of Cummins Power Systems

  • Support department process and problem solving projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

To be eligible for our 12 Month work placement youmust be a university student who has a placement year option as part of theirdegree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain realexperience in your subject area.

  • Have an understanding of the relationships and balance between the project management fundamentals of Scope, Schedule and Resources in order to successfully plan and deliver projects

  • Able to define and solve problems in a disciplined approach.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Computerliterate. Excellent skills of Excel, Word & Power Point. MS Project skillspreferred but not essential.

  • Must be able to actively participate and contribute asa team member, including strong cross functional communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time
