Instrumentation Technician-Electrician - 2nd Shift Level III

$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus with two-year commitment

We are looking for a talented Electrician to join our team specializing in Maintenance & Repair for our Machining Segment in Rocky Mount, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Performs electrical activities utilizing PLC and electrical measuring instruments in support of keeping equipment capable and available. Ex: multimeter, amp probe, PLC logic programming terminal and various other

  • Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery, and specialty equipment. Being able to complete work with limited guidance and support.

  • Performs work by electrical prints, diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring, and testing instruments.

  • Conforms to applicable codes and standards to maintain, install, and operate electrical systems.

  • Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact!

  • Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct or coach others.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Functions in multi-craft capacity (electrical & mechanical

  • Capable of working within a team-based work environment that provides ample support for training, skill sharing and personal development.

  • Willing to obtain State Board Apprenticeship Certification through job and classes (Paid for by Employer)

  • Able to adapt to working with equipment that ranges from the latest in technology to legacy equipment with some project and new installation.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulation.

Experience

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate-level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Additional Information

  • Instrumentation Maintenance Technician - responsible for understanding all in-line gauge hardware relative to software used to ensure accurate measurement data is provided to operations during the machining cycle.

  • Periodic Repairs / Replacements / Calibrations / PM’s conducted on in-line gauge equipment to provide uptime and correct performance of in-line gauge equipment.

  • Support upgrades/installations of in-line gauge equipment due to required corporate mandate of moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Operating Systems.

  • Familiar with Instrumentation / Calibration of Test Equipment

  • Electrical Systems Troubleshooting

  • Experience with Oscilloscopes, Meters, and other test equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
