We are looking for a talented ACCOUNTANT SENIOR to join our team specializing in FINANCE for our JOINT VENTURE -EATON CUMMINS in SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP, MÉXICO. (Remote position, candidates can be in any city from Mexico)
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger (PNL and BALANCE Sheet). Performs detailed financial analysis of the department’s chart of accounts and financial statements by identifying and analyzing unusual variances.
Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions in a timely manner.
Prepares general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley (internal control) audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
Reviews existing internal controls on a regular basis and develops new internal controls as necessary.
Analyzes current procedures and recommends changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Responsible for accounting and budgeting activities of Eaton Cummins Join Venture Mexico Trading Ledger, including VAT, payroll, FX and Tax accounting.
Support decisions and oversee transfer pricing and cash management.
Work close and oversee certain accounting activities performed by Eaton.
Coordinate and support internal and external audit for the legal entity.
Oversee service and other contracts. Work with Eaton Cummins Join Venture team to interpret and apply consistent accounting practices.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of General Account and Finance Analysis
Accounting bachelor’s degree, Finance or related field required.
Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, or similar Accounting or Financial certification required. Master Degree is a big a plus. (MBA)
Advance English and Spanish communication (verbal and written) required.
Prior experience required in the accounting areas of tax, payroll, treasury (AP/AR/Bank), and FX.
Excellent excel skills required.
Experience with audit and internal controls required.
Prior experience with Oracle system preferred.
Remote position. From Monday to Friday 6:00am to 3:30pm MX time- 8:00am to 5:30pm East time
Availability to travel to USA 10% per year.
