Description

We are looking for an experienced Workers Compensation and Injury Manager to effectively partner with the business and external providers to manage injuries, workers compensation policies and claims. As part of a well-supported team, you will lead and manage the coordination of injury management and improved return to work outcomes for the APAC region.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver a sustainable and effective injury management system, policies and procedures to support injured employees

  • Manage the workers compensation portfolio. Implementing initiatives to help achieve injury management objectives and targets and reduce workers compensation impacts

  • Co-ordination, interpretation, and systems management of employees medical reports and data. Ensuring compliance with policy and regulations around employee data privacy.

  • Provide expertise as the key internal resource to ensure the best service and cost risk insurance providers are in place.

  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders, medical teams, HSE , Site Leaders, Return to Work Coordinators and insurance organisations.

  • Ensure that insurance strategies are in line with requirements.

  • Supporting Managers and RTW Coordinators with injury management, including the development of return-to-work plans and monitoring return-to-work progress

  • Take a lead role through the entire cycle of workers' compensation - including dispute management, rehabilitation management and action plans, cost containment and claimant/employee interaction and maintain strong relationships with insurers, brokers and rehabilitation providers.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High level of workers compensation insurance acumen, to effectively leverage insurance and claims processes.

  • Good understanding of injury management and return to work processes.

  • Previous Workers Compensation experience within a large employer preferred.

  • Familiar with reviewing, maintaining, and developing Workers Compensation and Injury Management procedures.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of workers compensation insurance processes and better practices, monitor conformance with corporate procedures.

  • Must be able to deliver a sustainable and effective injury management system, policies, and procedures to support injured employees.

  • Implementing initiatives to help achieve injury management objectives and targets and reduce workers compensation impacts

  • Maintain technical knowledge and keep up to date with regulatory changes and contemporary practice.

  • Have previous experience across multiple legislative jurisdictions.

  • Strong communicator with good stakeholder focus & time management skills.
