This is an exciting opportunity in Columbus, Indiana or Shoreview, Minnesota for a Finance Systems Support Analyst – Senior. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.
Your impact will happen in these and other ways:
Supports a specific finance system as the business unit or functional subject matter expert and/or system administrator; responsible for the maintenance of a critical finance system.
Understands financial, accounting, and treasury concepts and applies them to finance systems.
Collaborates with finance leaders and subject matter experts within the business unit or organization to support information needs of the business.
Identifies and leads finance systems improvement projects within the business unit or corporate function that they support.
Partners with Information Technology teams and project management specialists to develop, test and deliver Finance Systems solutions.
Assists end-users in developing customized reports and ad hoc analysis.
Identifies, evaluates and documents internal controls in a business process; understands the company’s approach to internal controls.
Trains end-users in order to expedite adoption of new system solutions.
Coaches and mentors finance systems analysts.
Skills and Experience Required:
Ability to perform PFR financial analysis for PSBU IT function globally.
Support IT with AOP planning, forecasts, and monthly actual reporting.
Aid in project spend analysis, and SIP financial review.
Support understanding the PSBU PFR processes and working with the PSBU and CMI teams on PFR Transformation and improvements.
Experience in developing roadmaps and implementing new processes, tools, and reports.
Support MSBI, Power BI, HFM, Essbase, and Adhoc reporting governance for PSBU.
Work with Cummins Finance Systems team on establishing reporting governance and consistency across Business Units.
Develop expertise over PFR tools & reports and help with additional training across PSBU Finance.
Strong MS Office skills, in particular Excel or Access, is preferred.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Ability to negotiate resistance or change.
Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence, Oracle Financials/ERP, and/or Hyperion applications or similar reporting platforms is preferred.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in accounting, finance, information systems or related subject required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
