This is an exciting opportunity in Shoreview, Minnesota for a Global Sales Support and Strategy Planning Manager. Cummins USA is where you can work on industry leading projects.

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Manages the design, development andmaintenance of the Power Generation sales enablement strategy, in strongalignment with the overall Cummins Sales Operations strategy, resulting in anevergreen Power Generation market sales enablement tools roadmap.

  • Develops, implements and maintain a5 year roadmap of sales enablement tools to achieve Global Sales Supportstrategic vision that clearly maps our journey from legacy to future tools sets.

  • Provides solutions to complexbusiness problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situationsrequires an in depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

  • Applies strategic frameworks,business and financial analysis to develop and recommend solutions.

  • Interacts with senior managementlevels across different functions and business units, which involvesnegotiating or influencing on significant matters.

  • Development of sales enablementstrategy implementation scenarios and business cases for transformation assuringstrong alignment with business requirements and company’s overall salesenablement and sales support strategy.

  • Executive/Senior Level stakeholdermanagement and alignment of business transformation projects to implement PowerGeneration market sales enablement tools roadmap.

  • Communicates complex strategy topicsclearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oralcommunication.

  • Conducts external and internal analysisidentifying strategic opportunities, challenges, risk, threats, etc.

  • Leverages competitive research and marketanalysis to maintainknowledge of evolving trends in sales enablement strategy and technology todevelop innovative approaches to deliver business value for stakeholders.

  • Coaches and motivates business development staff;provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates worksassignments considering employee skills and development needs as required.

  • Identifies department issues, problems, andopportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Track the execution of initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

Skills

Demonstrated experience of sales operations strategy within a commercial B2B environment

Business Strategy and strong knowledge of strategic frameworks

Advanced problem solving skills

Ability to structure complex business problems in a logical manner

“Story-telling” via Senior Leaders and Executive Level presentations

Market Analysis - Knowledge of many markets as well as the ability to deploy local and/or global processes to attain relative market information.

Financial Understanding - Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from financial systems, as well as the ability to execute a business case

Facilitating Internal Relationships & Consensus - Has experience with large group dynamics and proven relationship skills. Experience in large, global organization, and proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships in highly complex matrix organizations

Market Opportunity Prioritization - Has strong relationships with key stakeholders and a broad understanding of strategies to make good judgment calls.

Market Positioning - Understands market positioning tools and can apply them.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

College, university, or equivalent degree in sales, marketing, economics or a related subject required. MBA or equivalent degree preferred.

Experience

5 – 8 years of relevant work experience required, including Strategy Planning.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
