DESCRIPTION
Cummins is looking for a Service Parts Associate to join their team in Springdale, AR.
The position will be responsible for assisting all distribution business customers, technicians, and other parts personnel in securing needed parts and supplies under moderate or direct supervision.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Carry out customer parts counter duties under moderate supervision including receiving parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, completing all paperwork and processing it accordingly, handling cash, check, and credit card transactions.
Maintain a favorable relationship with internal and external customers by addressing their needs and issues in a timely manner.
Escalate customer issues to more senior parts personnel or supervisor when needed.
Maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
Support other parts personnel in sourcing and locating complex parts requests or finding alternatives under moderate or direct supervision.
Utilize various systems, catalogs, other resources, and collaborate with technicians to identify and procure the parts in the most cost and time efficient manner.
Perform other duties under moderate supervision that may include managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, inventory management related tasks, core processing, or other part-related duties as assigned by management.
Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role, you will need:
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience or intermediate level of knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports, and advanced level computer skills.
Customer service experience is required for this role.
Diesel engine familiarity is a great asset for this role.
About the role:
Working hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm.
Salary ranges between 47k yearly-70 k yearly-depending on experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
