Inventory Analyst (High Horsepower)

Cummins Sales and Service is currently seeking an Inventory Analyst (High Horsepower) to join the dynamic team at our Surrey Rebuild Center .

Reporting to the Central Inventory Manager , you will provide production planning, procurement planning, and analysis of High Horsepower (HHP) Mining inventory at a more detailed level than currently available. This analysis will assist the Parts Group with decision making related to inventory support.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Finished Goods Inventory at various locations.

  • High level Engine queue planning.

  • Design, creation and testing reports related to finished goods inventory.

  • Analysis of HHP parts inventory at various locations.

  • Rebuild Center parts inventory planning for production and service events.

  • Maintaining the Rebuild Center Bill of Materials for each engine type.

  • Reporting of inventory levels and recommending adjustments.

  • Designing / creating / testing reports, business executive dashboards or other business intelligence tools.

  • Some travel to CWC mining branches will be required.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.

  • Post-Secondary Degree in a related field (i.e. engineering, mathematics, economics, MIS, IT or general business).

  • Proven proficiency in statistics and data analysis.

  • 2 - 5 years of work experience in a professional environment.

  • Experience working with large datasets.

  • Experience with statistical analysis tools in a professional or academic environment (more specifically SQL, SAS, Excel, Access, and VBA).

  • Experience designing / creating / testing reports, business executive dashboards or other business intelligence tools (not necessarily supply chain).

  • Previous exposure to Supply Chain Management in a Manufacturing environment is preferred, but Inventory management, warehousing, network design, sourcing and procurement, transportation experience may be considered.

  • Strong general business acumen and a proven track record of high performance.

  • A strong interest in management, business, supply chain management, strategy and operational excellence.

  • Team player mentality.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Fluency in another language is considered a plus.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills.
