Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners. This is an exciting opportunity in the UK for a Project Manager – Power Generation.

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways:

  • From Sales Handover to Client sign off, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered On-time, to client specification, and on budget.

  • You will negotiate and allocate internal resources, and mentor and manage a team to ensure all client and company objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Day to day control of specific works and projects including design considerations and co-ordination with suppliers, customers, other trades, witness’ etc.

  • Full management and reporting responsibility for departmental commissioning technicians.

  • Where required support the Sales teams in winning new business by providing feedback and advise on previous projects.

  • Monitor cost and value to achieve or exceed budget financial performance.

  • Maintain all quality standards.

  • Continually seek opportunities to improve quality, speed, and value to our customers and the Cummins business.

  • Meet customer expectation within the limit of contractual requirements

  • Ensure risks are appropriately and timely identified, managed and mitigated appropriately. Identify and costing of contract variations.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of Project related turnkey power solutions, mechanical & electrical installation and commissioning work or related business

  • Ability to lead a team including Sub-Contractors and Suppliers

  • Excellent project Management experience

  • Proactively promote excellent Health and Safety Culture, leading by example and ensuring statutory requirements are met or exceeded.

  • An excellent understanding of LV and HV

  • Experience of managing work on construction sites.

  • CSCS card holder or equivalent an advantage.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Degree qualified

  • Happy to travel 40% of the time – potential European travel

Compensation and Benefits

£33,200 - £41,500
