Field Service Power Generation Technician
Description
We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation. Please note, this position comes with a $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Diagnose and completes less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer site. Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
Applying the use of specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
Maintains service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
Completing training in line with skill and business requirements while adhering to all our relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to their supervisor.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Some relevant technician experience; qualified to perform work on an intermediate number of products in-scope for Technician at this location; primarily engaged in moderately complex maintenance and repair; some exposure to moderate or complex diagnostics, requires limited direct supervision, may provide basic training or guidance to new technicians.
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with Power Generation products.
Basic level field service work experience including customer service experience and High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
This position requires a Technical/Trade School degree from an accredited program or equivalent work experience. Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (preferred)
This position will require a completed DMV driving report but no Driver Qualification File. Candidate must be at least 18 years old and have 2 years driving experience. This position will be part of FTA pool.
A current valid drivers license (with 2 years driving experience at minimum) is required for this role as well as a 5 year Motor Vehicle Report, free of any major violations.
This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This role will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
The regular schedule for this position will be 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
Compensation and Benefits
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Hourly pay range for this position is $28.00/hr.to $39.00/hr. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
