2018 Summer Intern - Controls Engineer（CES）电控工程师
Applies specialized knowledge of engineering principles and practices to assigned tasks to develop and support activities in the area of electrical & electronics engineering. This may include one or more of the following: Developing the electrical and electronics specifications. Designing electrical and electronic systems and components. Analyzing and simulating electrical and electronic capabilities. Implementing and generating software.
Verifying and validating controls, hardware, or software. Tuning controls. Releasing controls, hardware, or software. Troubleshooting controls, hardware, or software issues. Servicing and maintaining controls, hardware, or software.
Use test design skills to develop OBD test and calibration methods as required by NS VI, CS IV regulation.
Assess the robustness and capability of new designs in meeting their customer expectations through participation in design reviews.
Work with US/India team members to understand DPF SCR system development and support CES China engineering to develop NS VI, CS IV engine after-treatment system for both Cummins and non-Cummins customers.
Participate in full system vehicle testing to prove acceptable system performance. This includes test trips such as environmental cold/hot tests.
Electrical and Electronics includes all electrical and electronic elements within the system: Open and closed loop controls. Diagnostics and OBD. Algorithms. Datalinks and communication networks. Electronic control modules and related microcontroller architectures. Electronic devices. Sensors and switches. Actuators, electric motors, alternators/generators, and relays. Electrical and Electronic tools and information products. Electrical and Electronic tool interfaces. Interconnects and harnesses.
Use system analysis skills to investigate aftertreatment performance characteristics. Use data analysis skills to reduce test data, visualize results, and present conclusions
Develop and manage to individual work with direct supervision from the engineering leader.
Good understanding of basic engine combustion/performance/emissions and diesel engine aftertreatment chemistry
Knowledge of new product introduction process sufficient to support integration of aftertreatment into engine development processes
Capability of reading/programming software algorithm and code
Proficiency in data reduction and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and /or Matlab
Knowledge of Cummins engine CPE development, calibration process, engine controls and electronic calibration tools
Strong academic background in mechanical engineering principals, especially internal combustion engine or automotive engineering
Diesel engine after-treatment technology familiarization is a plus but not required, strong willingness to develop and learn new skills in after-treatment technology development field
College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering required. Advanced degrees are preferred.
