Ability to update existing iDFMEAs to account for a proposed product changes and to identify appropriate risk mitigation actions. Can create new iDFMEAs for a simple system, subsystem, or component.
Failure Incident Review Group (FIRG) - Leads the FIRG process for an organization and mentors others. Has experience in the setup and leadership of a the FIRG team to: establish the structure and participation, direct the database and logistic setup, and lead its implementation throughout a program. Has experience working with real problems through the 7-Step Product Process and can guide a team through the use of the problem solving tools as they relate to the process. Is able to train the 7-Step Product Problem Solving Process.
Parenting & Reliability Improvement Plans For New Products - Is able to perform parenting analysis with the assistance of a specialist, if needed. Is able to compute a parented reliability measure, compare to program target, and create a reliability improvement plan.
New Product Reliability Analysis - Is familiar with new product reliability analysis methods, including reliability growth; their assumptions; and the results they produce. Can gather appropriate input data, produce failure rate estimates, and interpret results with the assistance of a specialist. Can identify cases with atypical results and work through them with the help of a specialist or expert.
New Product Reliability Standard Work - Leads the execution of reliability standard work for a new product development program and is responsible for the completion of the following activities: new product reliability assurance, parenting and reliability improvement plans, iDFMEA, DVP&R, FIRG, and new product reliability growth and assessments.
