Develop and implement Design Requirements, Specifications, and Guidelines as well as Certification Tests and Test Plans. Apply technical expertise to develop new solutions and ideas to meet or exceed requirements.
Leads complex and medium scale engineering projects in design and system integration from concept through production.
Work as a team leader of a multi-functional team to ensure products meet vehicle system functionality, performance, and reliability requirements. The team under this position including vehicle system integration, system requirements and software certification. As system engineering manager also needs work with global software & controls team make sure company develop the software can meet customer requirements.
Lead software certification team perform lab and in-vehicle testing and simulation to develop, analyze, and validate system controls, diagnostics, and performance to verify compliance with product requirements.
Utilize 8D, FMEA, FTA, and Six Sigma techniques in performing root cause analysis, containment, and corrective action to resolve product issues.
Analyze vehicle data from testing and customer vehicles to investigate, identify, and resolve performance complaints.
Lead and execute on product reliability and performance improvements to meet market requirements and promote maximum customer satisfaction
Work with Marketing and Product Planning to envision, design and bring to production enhancements to current products as well as new product offerings.
Execute technical deliverables within the PROLaunch development process. Lead and support completion of technical deliverables at the “Major Repeater” and “Stranger” risk classifications.
Support and provide guidance on engineering projects with outside technology partners, suppliers, and customers. Interface with global product teams to effectively support regional business growth of AMT, Hybrid and electrical vehicle product lines.
Responsible talent hiring and build system engineering capability, maintain team budget, provide technical support to other region.
Responsible software OR portfolio review with global team, define high priority OR development
Organize OR design review meeting to development OR solution, move OR form step 1 requirements phase to SW/Controls development Phase 2 and SW certification Phase 3
Responsible Software changes from Phase 3 to ECR/ECO releasing.
Education and Skills：
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mechatronics Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in relevant discipline.
Preferred Specialized Knowledge：
Master’s degree (MBA or Masters in Engineering).
Matlab and Simulink experience or other similar toolset.
Expertise with CAN vehicle networks such as SAE-J1939 and CAN data collection with tools such as CANape and CANalyzer.
The ideal candidate would have 10 years experience in, or strong knowledge of, heavy-duty truck, , automotive, hybrid or electrical vehicle drivetrain/powertrain systems and/or components.
