We are looking for a talented HSE Technician - 3rd shift to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment team in York, SC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provides support on health and safety to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader. Assists in the review and sustainability of Health & Safety Management Systems.

  • Determines gaps within corporate HSE initiatives and local health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation and risk.

  • Supports implementation and maintenance of Emergency Response processes including delivery of training.

  • Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

  • Participates in HSE inspection/audit programs and leads incident investigation and reporting while monitoring HSE related trends.

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

  • Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems - Interprets and applies international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.

  • Risk Assessment - Evaluates hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.

  • Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Significant experience performing checks, audits, documents trends, give first responder incident care, turning in maintenance work order and mitigating hazards.

  • Promote safe behavior to reduce accidents.

  • Experience in health and safety.

  • OSHA 10 -Training

  • HSE Technician experience before

  • Follow safe behaviors.

  • High interest in safety

  • CPR, first aid training.

  • HSE background.

  • Administrative skills

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.

  • Strong knowledge of the automotive manufacturing sector and readiness to adhere to safety measures.

  • Must be a quick learner and able to collaborate with others.

  • Familiarity with quality and time.

  • Readiness to adhere to safety requirements.

  • Familiarity with hand tools and fasteners

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite.

  • Ability to troubleshoot minor issue.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
